Can someone double check something for me?

I'm not sure if I'm reading/understanding an email from uni right. I've attached it as a pic to save space.

So my semester one grade was 77%.

Does that mean I'm likely to finish with a first, regardless of my semester two results? (which I'm expecting to be in the same region to be honest.)

Thank you 😄

If the 77% is your baseline then yes. You cannot get a lower grade than that

theclockticksslowly · 11/05/2020 23:59

That’s how I’d read it!

Congrats!

A lot of qs - are you in a three or four year course? What year are you in now.
Is your q about an overall degree classification or just this one year?
Have you completed your
Second year (20%)
What is the percentage boundary of a first per year (does your 77%= a first for whatever year you are in?)
Then a whole heap Of Qs about how the years are aggregated etc.

Op well done on 77% for part of whatever year you are in anyway !

Oh my god. Thank you!

Ramble alert 😄😄

I'm a mature student and my teachers at school basically told me I was thick and I'd never get anywhere education wise because I'm dyslexic so I never really tried. To be potentially finishing my degree with a first is absolutely mind blowing to me. I've really worked damn hard. 🤯🤯🤯

Three year course. I can't remember exactly but I finished year two with an average of ~70%.

Anything over 70% is a first.

Congratulations! My DD is just finishing her 4th year and has been told her 4th year results have a safety net of the 1st semesters grade as well. She is happy too 😄

Thank you!

I got really sad last night over graduation. We're having some kind of online thing but I was looking forward to the proper ceremony.

It's disappointing, isn't it! Big catch up in the future no idea when though

SeasonFinale · 12/05/2020 14:33

Many congratulations on your soon to be First! From a former mature student

We're having a Zoom party tomorrow but it's not the same.

Thank you. I'm thrilled by it. 😀😀😀
