A grown out fringe (which I actually like) and about 5 extra pounds in weight

What small things has it given you? Lighthearted please! Smile

Half a stone and two kids who have learnt to get on with each other

Connie222 · 10/05/2020 18:39

A well deserved rest from my dads emotional blackmail. I really feel for people who have lovely families who they miss, but for the first time in my life I feel relaxed not having to see him. It’s been bliss.

PickAChew · 10/05/2020 18:40

Hair long enough for a ponytail for the first time in 25 years.

TokyoSushi · 10/05/2020 18:40

About 5lbs but a really good rest from my hectic day to day life!

Connie222 · 10/05/2020 18:40

Oh and a 17 year old who has excelled in the btec he was due to fail! He’s been so much happier at home and has been working hard - gone from half heartedly doing just the pass questions to completing all the distinctions. He hated college.

Yorkshireswithallroasts · 10/05/2020 18:42

A headache

BuffaloCauliflower · 10/05/2020 18:42

The knowledge that I can actually trim my (long, very straight, not very thick) hair really easily

DramaAlpaca · 10/05/2020 18:43

A nice relaxing break from my stressful job.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 10/05/2020 18:44

Enough money in overtime to buy a sofa, armchair and chaise long from IKEA, it was going in the credit card but didn't quite hit the button before lockdown

Dk20 · 10/05/2020 18:45

I dont know how much weight I've put on but it is a lot, I finally bough weighing scales on Friday and I'm the heaviest I've ever been Blush (I've subsequently re joined sw online)

Although it's been stressful wfh with the kids (6yo and 11mo) here I'm grateful for all the extra time I got to spend with them

Money, as I’m spending much less.

A nice break from playing taxi to the kids hobbies and rushing from one place to the next.

Ginger roots, I tried dyeing it myself with ‘golden brown’ the rest of my hair is a dark brown and my grey roots are ginger!

Orchidflower1 · 10/05/2020 18:48

Scabby, cracked hands. Despite loads of different hand creams!

Buffthemagic · 10/05/2020 18:50

These are nice to read. It's also given me confidence to try new things, like putting fake tan on my face for the first time ever!

@Orchidflower1 Have you tried Cerave creams? Mine have cleared up a treat!

I actually prefer the zoom dance classes than ferrying the kids around to various after school clubs. I'm very grateful for a much slower pace of life

A spare tyre
A previously undiscovered knack for hairdressing and decorating
A tan
More time
£1000 in the bank

FiveGoMadInDorset · 10/05/2020 18:57

@Orchidflower1 try udder cream, you can get it now from Amazon. The nicest my hands ever have been was when I was milking cows

Crimsonnightlotus · 10/05/2020 18:59

Chubby face.

Orchidflower1 · 10/05/2020 19:23

Ooh thanks @FiveGoMadInDorset and @Buffthemagic I’ll look into both of those.

Raera · 10/05/2020 19:25

Patience and doing things properly rather than rushing.
Time with my lovely DH
Zoom story time with grandchildren

CrowCat · 10/05/2020 19:59

Two litters if puppies and a litter of kittens.

A better garden.

Headache.

CrowCat · 10/05/2020 20:00

OF puppies!! Of not if Confused

muddledmidget · 10/05/2020 20:02

Split ends, a double chin, an extra 7lb to lose and an incredibly messy house....

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 10/05/2020 20:05

Massive pay packet.

Due to colleagues self-isolating/shielding/etc I had/am having to cover a lot of shifts.

Gruelling. But enjoying the extra pay. Treated everyone to Egyptian cotton bedding and new duvets and have bought some other nice things for myself.
