I'm making chocolate cupcakes...I've just found a tub of Betty Crocker chocolate frosting in the cupboard. It's obviously escaped a cupboard purge because the best before date was June 2019.

Question is do I use that or make my own frosting?

( I've tasted it and its fine, looks fine too, but I don't want to poison DH or DD)

I would use it. I draw the line at about 10 years past the bbd, or if it looks or tastes funny, then before that. Enjoy :)

lol! I'm the same. If it looks okay, and smells okay then its okay.

I'm not sure where it came from its not the sort of thing I would buy, but I'll give it a go.
