Good areas to live in Cheltenham

Wonder if anyone can help, we're looking to move to Cheltenham (from Cornwall so we have no idea about areas) and we've been told to avoid Hesters way and potentially Springbank. We've found a house we love in Rosebay Gardens in spring Bank and the street checker looks okay and it looks like a nice road...just wanted to see if anyone knows it/lives there or near and has any advice?

Thanks in advance!

We looked at a house there, I'd avoid it. The new build houses are accessed by going through council houses which weren't kept in the best condition - rubbish outside etc. Obviously Montpellier and the houses surrounding Pittville park are lovely. Then you've Hatherley, charlton kings and tivolli. Depends on budget and what you're looking to get out of a house, parking and large garden you're looking further out of town such as hatherley. Bishops Cleeve too if you don't mind a 10/15 min drive into town.

Could you live outside Cheltenham. I find it very rough and intimidating. I used to go a lot to friends and never really felt safe.

What’s your budget ? I know Cheltenham pretty well my son is at school there.

It really depends on your budget. Benhall, Up Hatherley, Leckhampton and Charlton Kings are lovely areas but expensive!
