I have a collection of Emma Bridgewater mugs that I always use. Won't have my tea in anything else. Do you have a set mug that you always use.

Yes - I have a collection of large Dunoon mugs and my favourite one shows all the shipping forecast areas. I broke the first one I had and I was so disappointed I bought two more of them.

Yes I have a recently gifted Emma Bridgwater that has become my new favourite. My 2nd favourite was also a gift from anthropology.

fairyfingers · 09/05/2020 17:38

Yes I have 3. My work mug which was a leaving pressie from my last team, my home mug which I got in the m&s sale a few years ago and is bone china, a bit bigger than average and with a funky gilt decoration and is so thin to drink from.

Then a mug my mummy bought me for Christmas a few years ago - our first family Christmas after a huge bereavement when she wasn't up to shopping but picked me up something. It's a bit chunkier and great to drink from on a cold winter evening.

Yes, I have a rose gold china mug with my initial on 😍 At home I will only drink a hot drink from that mug! DH knows I accept no other mug

I don't have an absolute favourite but I do have four that I love (out of about 30 we own). One is an Emma Bridgewater Big Love mug. I also have a corporate freebie which brings back memories and then two that I just like a lot and are so special that I've kept them in spite of being chipped Blush

DramaAlpaca · 09/05/2020 17:47

I love my Nicholas Mosse ones.

But my current favourite was a Christmas present from DH and it has flamingoes all over it.

lachy · 09/05/2020 17:49

I have a Cath Kidston mug that was a present many years ago, it's my favourite. My second favourite is one that found it's way into our bags (completely unintentionally) and was from our wedding venue.

MrAlyhakinsMassiveYacht · 09/05/2020 17:59

Yes. And I have a favourite saucepan and a favourite hob ring.

AnotherNameChangeForNoReason · 09/05/2020 18:11

I have a 1st fav buy if it's dirty I have a second fave. If they are both dirty I have a third fave.

My DH is aware of my mug preferences but will stick my tea in any old thing unless I provide him with specific location details!!

There's only one mug I will have my morning coffee out of. My DD got it for me on my first Mother's Day. I don't actually like it, but it's tradition....
Another mug that is the perfect shape for a latte. Bowl shaped with a lovely handle.
Then there's the gorgeous mug from Vinegar Hill that is great for a nice cup of tea.
If I'm feeling low, I get out a lovely mug that my friend gifted me and it cheers me up.

TheMostHappy · 09/05/2020 18:46

I have a few of these mugs from Disney land and they're just the perfect size for a cup of tea and I love them!

I have certain mugs for certain drinks. In the last year I have become a bit obsessed about the thickness of the mug. I had a glass mug with boobs on that I loved, but now it makes my nauseous if I drink from it (🤔) but I can't drink from thick mugs very often as it makes the drink taste funny to me. Goodness knows why it has started to affect me now!

AnnofPeeves · 09/05/2020 18:59

My Herdy mug is perfect. Thin rim but holds exactly the right amount.

FrankiesKnuckle · 09/05/2020 19:00

I do have a favourite mug. Had it for several years.
Now, due to child getting older I can't use it as child can read the profanity that is written on said mug.

"Mummy, what does Fucking mean?" Is not an easy question to answer!

Cocolapew · 09/05/2020 19:01

Yes it's a Prince Purple Rain one, second best is a smaller Cath Kidston china mug.

ExpletiveDelighted · 09/05/2020 19:04

For tea yes, it's a bone china Alison Gardiner one with a picture of a place that means a lot to me. For coffee I'm not so fussy.

Oly4 · 09/05/2020 19:07

I love the big Starbucks mugs and have a few, they are my favourite, followed by Cath Kidston Stanley mugs. Good size

Reversiblesequinsforadults · 09/05/2020 19:09

Of course, there is a definite hierarchy.

Holothane · 09/05/2020 19:10

Candyflosscookie · 09/05/2020 19:22

Yes I have a mug that my friend who is a potter made for me in my favourite colours and style. It's the best mug for morning coffee ever and gives me a little smile every day.

Nix2020 · 09/05/2020 19:36

My Dr who darlek mug, it's so ugly but it gives me all the feels.

homemadecommunistrussia · 09/05/2020 19:42
