What’s Happening In Your House?

Glorious weather here. Unfortunately we don’t have a paddling pool so we’re trying to chill out in other ways. Excited to be collecting fish & chips later, pre - ordered at a local shop that has just reopened but only taking phone orders. I am exceptionally hairy but saying “ Sod it” & letting it all show in my fav black t shirt dress! The house is filthy so I am thinking very hard about hoovering, cleaning paint out of the bath ( don’t ask!) & damp dusting. Feeling a bit regretful that we didn’t do anything for VE Day as keep seeing FB posts of socially distanced street parties. But we don’t know our neighbours in the Close & are only on saying hello terms with our immediate neighbours. I did go out to sing “ We’ll Meet Again” last night.

Dh gardened all morning. I faffed about, did a bit of knitting and some housework, dc watched tv and read. We had our usual post-lunch pot of tea and board game/card game at the table outside, then all went for an hour's dog walk. I'm now putting off changing the beds. Dinner will be coconut dhal and naans for us, chicken for the dc. Maybe a game of Scrabble after dinner, then an episode of Game of Thrones (re-watching from the beginning).

I’m enjoying the sunshine in the garden. I’ve made potato salad and am marinating king prawns ready for the bbq which dh will do later with a puffed out chest waiting for his medal.

Currently DH is playing piano and made lunch, DS (13) is baking fairy cakes and has been with our silkie chickens and indoor rabbit, DD (14) singing to herself, cat is sunbathing. I was doing accounts until 2am then just watching films today - Americas National Parks on Disney and MN. Had e-mail back from our neighbour who is 73 and on her own - she's been painting, baking, long walks and making scrubs for NHS.

Friend dropped off my click and collect this morning. Now have the gardener doing the lawns. I'm laying about with the cats and DC is prancing around in the kitchen.

Cats 1, 2 and 3 are wandering around
I'm watching tv

I've done three way loads, walked the dog, done day one of 5K, made a picnic lunch, made focaccia, pegged out two wash loads, weeded the garden and watched tv with dh.

I'm sat having a coffee after putting a curry on for dinner, DH is chopping a coleslaw for me to have with it since I'm low carb and not having rice.

My DS(4) must be the only child not interested in playing outside - he wants his friends. He's on the sofa doing Reading Eggs.

Ds2, 7 months is sat on the floor playing with toot toots much to his older brother's annoyance - who I must add hasn't picked up one of these cars for about two years.

On my 3rd beer in the garden. Looking at the mountains and kinda glad they are empty. Kids on their phones and sunbathing, birds singing, sheep also sunbathing.

Im off for a walk later whilst DH will cook an easy tea. Then ill light the fire pit. Bliss!

We are out in the garden with a teething 10 Month old who is making random shouty noises every 2 minutes and very loud farts 🤣
Enjoying a frozen berry mojito and trying to shade my burnt back from my workout this morning in the garden.
Leftover enchiladas for tea which saves me a massive job of cooking again later! It's all good :)

bargainhuntbore I want your life!

DH has been on the allotment today (literally on the other side of our back gate). I woke up at silly o'clock for no reason and couldn't get back to sleep so got up about 5am . Had an early bath. Gave myself a pedicure, shaved legs etc.

Then spent the day in the garden reading and snoozing. Goulash in the oven. DH is watching 1979 cup final on TV. He doesn't support either team. I'm on here for a bit. Her-cat is on my lap. Family zoom quiz tonight including cousins and adult nieces and nephews. About 15 teams. Hope I can stay awake!

Sitting on my bed Mning with cat asleep beside me. Dh at work overnight. DD1 in the bath, DS on screens. Same old, same old.

I had a zoom chat with friends earlier then a chat through the hedge with one of the neighbours. More socialising than I’ve done in ages!
DC (7 and 4) have been charging round outside like mad things and I’ve just fed them a massive tea of spag bol and fruit salad. It’s very satisfying when they eat lots of healthy things they’re now playing Mario kart on the Wii although really it should be bed time.

DH is having a rest I think, after lots of running round with them. I should be clearing up the kitchen but I’m lazing on MN. Clearly we don’t have our children’s stamina! DH is cooking paella later, my absolute favourite.

i’ve not long got home from the hospital - my baby was born last night and luckily i was able to be discharged this afternoon. my eldest has made me a bed on the sofa so i’m having a lie down whilst the kids are marvelling over their new sister. my boyfriend is in the kitchen getting the plates ready for our chinese. and then i’m going to bed because i am absolutely exhausted!

I’m on the wine now.

Lasagne in the oven for dinner with salad. Just getting a foot massage from ds10 with Madagascar on in the background. Did a big shop earlier and an online yoga class and then spent the afternoon in the sun listening to spotify with a coke zero.

Earlier, running, cycling, English and biology homework, gardening, cake eating, cooking and chatting.

We've been in the garden all day enjoying the sun. Kids have been in the paddling pool and just having fun. We had a very good bbq and are now having a family movie night watching waterhorse.
The 3 youngest kids are having a sleepover tonight. They have all moved their beds into one room and are having a sleepover party.
We have a really lovely day.

Earlier DH and I worked our arses off cleaning up the garden and building new raised beds. Nearly done now - just in time for the weather to go shit again .

Just had a chinese and will be zoom calling friends in a bit.

Tomorrow will be doing very little apart from going for a walk.

I've been v. annoyed all day as ndn had her adult son over, all day and my ds had his birthday 3 days ago and is stuck in his flat and if course we couldn't visit and he couldn't come here due to the lockdown.... But that doesn't apply to next door so he's been at his mums all day and I'm spitting fucking feathers.

Other than that, dh was at work early on, I'm furloughed and stayed home, will go a walk soon now its quiet, ds2 went for our shopping and we got a takeaway pizza for tea.

Spent the afternoon remaking a couple of skirts and a dress to fit me properly. DH spent the afternoon cursing while fixing the brakes on my car. Now outside enjoying a BBQ while sewing.

Mowed the lawn, made some teal lights, made the DC's do some housework, DS then made muffins.
The Chinese reopened this weekend so treated ourselves to one and then took DS to see the Lamborghini parked in our village, driven from London to Dorset to see the sea, had already been stopped and find in next door village and police know its here.

It has been nuts today, police have closed both roads going into the next door village to stop people trying to visit (very popular seaside village)

Has fish and waffles as a very early dinner
Just going to chill for the evening,
