How to stop falling asleep on the sofa ?

Omg I thought it was perhaps alcohol, so I've not had any since ... Sunday? (Not sure of day's anymore)

But the last couple of nights, 9pm ... bang out for the count!

It's getting ridiculous! It's not like I'm even tired! Am furloughed!

So I fall sleep, wake up, think I'll go to bed, then spend 2hours looking at crap on my phone 🙄🙄🙄

How can I stay awake please? (Short of stabbing myself with a compass needle?)

Go to bed at 8:50.

Are you laying down on the sofa or sat upright?

Or do something that isn't sitting in the sofa at that time.

So, do the laundry, do a jigsaw puzzle at the table, play cards.. whatever. Put your phone in another room on silent, and do your distraction activity.

This. My husband moans he falls asleep on the sofa but insists on lying down on it with a blanket on him.

KellyHall · 08/05/2020 17:04

Don't sit back. Don't have a blanket or slippers, or anything else cosy going on. Don't have a nice hot drink. Don't watch anything boring.

All help a bit but I'm actually prone to falling asleep anytime anywhere!

@Notso my husband does exactly the same. Cuddles himself down under a blanket and feels himself starts to feel himself fall asleep but doesn’t go to bed. I’m already in bed at this point.

Chiyo666 · 08/05/2020 17:05

I’m like that but at 3pm
