The flies! The flies! The flies!

I'm working from home in my kitchen with the doors wide open... it's lovely to get the fresh air and keep half an eye on the kids. I can only imagine I don't normally do this...

But THE FLIES!!! What do I do?!?! We have a curly fly paper thing but it doesn't seem to be doing much. I'm trying to work and slowly going mad with the fly around my head. Earlier I think I had 3 in here at once (small room.)

What is the answer?!

I don’t know, but we’re having the same problem! I put all the fruit in the fridge and that seems to have helped a little. Possibly a coincidence though!

Buy a flyscreen and just stick it to your window or doorway. It sticks on with tape so you can take it off. Can buy double doors one if you need it that big.

We used to have the same problem but the screen works a treat. Can keep the door open and cat can go in and out through the magnetic opening that shuts.

Hmmm. Is a screen the only way :( I really like being able to see out into the real world....

You can still see out, it’s just mesh. I have a screen on my bedroom window which is both pollen and insect proof and it’s amazing to be able to open a window without having a coughing fit.

Get a spray bottle and fill with washing up liquid and water (high concentration of liquid). Spray most flying insects with this and it weighs them down making them fall down where you can then squish them.

Doesn't stop them coming in but gets rid quick.

We have a lot of wasps in the garden and use this on them, works well.
