My baby boy is only 2 days old but he doesn't feed a lot..at all. Maybe one decent latch and feed a day. He's had a few poos and wees though. But the midwife said he should be feeding ever 2-3 hours but he's really not!
He's just sleeping lots and lots. Any advice please as google basically tells me I'm awful

Took me 8 weeks to establish bf with my first. She was a month early and so tired.

I had to wake her every 2 hours, try to latch and bf, then cup feed with expressed b milk, then express, then sterilise it all, get a nap for an hour and away we went again. Took her 6 weeks to work the right side properly then another 2 to work the left (I called her Zoolander for a while).

What eventually helped was sticking a bottle in her late one night, which gave her energy for the next feed. Positioning was an issue too - I have a larger chest than most and it was easier to hold the baby in a comfy position and use my opposite hand to manoeuvre my breast to the right place. Also we had light therapy for jaundice.

Totally worth it though. So much easier once you e cracked it.

@user1471462428 really well thank you! He's exclusively breastfed now and feeds every 2-3 hours and is currently cluster feeding which is so tiring but as you can imagine, extremely welcoming! Thanks for asking 😊
