I’m putting together a bit of a “hamper” for a siblings birthday. They love nice coffee so I was going to get them some nice ground coffee to put in there. Where is best to get it from.
I like me coffee like me, cheap and nasty Grin so I don’t even know where to start! Recommendations please. The budget isn’t endless so I can’t be spending £50 on a bag but happy to pay a bit of a premium for nicer stuff

Had some amazing coffee from Volcanica, it was one of their Jamaican blue mountain type - really worth looking into

You can order lovely coffee from Pact. I also like the Algerian Coffee Stores. Both are available online but I don't know how quickly they can deliver.

Betty's coffee is fantastic - massive range and all superb!

I'd second Pact, they're fabulous.

Ooh! I'm picky about coffee and have usually not been able to drink posh coffee bought for us.

Do you know how they make it? Mokka, cafetiere etc

Do you know what kind of coffee they like? Strength, character etc. It's as varied as wine!

If you know how they make it you can get the right grind. Then I'd go for something that sounds posh, like a week me would be single estate, single grape etc you can get coffees that are just posh... like Blue Mountain.

Or find a coffee maker with impeccable credentials, fair trade type, workers Coop etc.

Could be fun Googling it!

I like coffee from www.monmouthcoffee.co.uk/ which under normal circumstances has queues out the door but why don’t you see if there’s a local roastery in your area that you could support? If I were the lucky recipient of your hamper I would love a local product that I would be less likely to come across myself.

Monsoon Malabar is amazing.

Colombia Coffee roasters Gentleman's Espresso (actually, any of their coffees but that one is especially delicious)

They also support key workers and farmers

And as a PP said, be sure you know their preferences for beans/ground and which method they usually use to make coffee

These guys are amazing. Best coffee I've brewed at home ever. Came to know them as my mum bought me one of their sample boxes as a gift at the start of lockdown and I will continue to buy from them.
