How to stop cats using sandpit as litter tray!

Next doors cat keeps pooing in our sandpit! I’ve started making sure it is always covered (even when we pop inside for lunch as it literally heads for it at any opportunity) but it is now pooing on the tarpaulin cover!!

Any ideas how I stop the disgusting creature? It’s horrible having to constantly clean up cat shit when I don’t even have a cat!

Make a sag in the middle. Leave a puddle in the sag....

Scatter orange peel

I read somewhere (probably here) to use a tent with a zip net door.

Get a water pistol and squirt it every time you see it in your garden. It should soon stop coming in.

@Puddlesplasher it has stopped coming over in the day but is still coming at night and pooing.

Sandpit is a large built type and not something I can move, or empty so can’t put a tent on top.

At the minute I am covering with tarpaulin and then putting a piece of wooden trellis over the top but it’s still not stopping it.

Will try the orange peel thanks!
