13 weeks pregnant and bleeding

Hi ladies,
So I was in the car yesterday evening taking my hubby to Tesco quickly to grab a birthday cake for my eldest daughter who is turning 4 today. It felt like my waters broke and my knickers were soaked. As I was in the car I just dabbed tissue and at first there was nothing then there was brown on the tissue. I shoved tissue there and when I got home and walked from car to house the tissue filled up with red blood. I called triage and they told me to go straight in. They done all the usual test blood pressure etc all was fine. They done a swab similar to a smear test and have sent it off which takes approx a week to come back. They done a scan and baby was fine moving and wiggling around heart beat was fine and we listened for a bit and sounded healthy. Amniotic fluid around baby was fine and cervix was still closed. they couldnt see cause of bleeding but apparently wasn't the best machine as it was an emergency portal scanner. They said as I am not having any pain they were happy to discharge me and to keep an eye on the bleeding and if I get any severe cramping to go straight back in. They said as we had seen baby all well and good unlikely to miscarriage but they cant completely rule it out which is understandable. I filled a pad from 9:45pm to 12:30am. and just woke up weed and was bloody in toilet but when I wipe it is pink now not red and still no cramping. I have had 3 miscarriages in between my daughter but never this far along was always before 6 weeks

That sent before I had finished typing. Just wanted to know if any others have been thru this and what is the likeliness of still having a miscarriage?
I just can't wrap my head around it. Everything in the pregnancy seems fine baby is fine all else is fine but bleeding. Can I still loose a healthy looking baby? Is my body refusing baby some how? But how if baby still has a strong heart beat etc. I am worried out of my head. Only time can tell but I just need some advice support pls.

You’re right in that only time will tell but please stay positive, bleeding in pregnancy is very very common. I had lots of bleeding from 7-24 weeks, sometimes light, other times really heavy with clots even. I had lots of scans which was reassuring and my boy is nearly 6 now and all ok.
I also had a MMC with no warning, discovered at my 12 week scan so again bleeding doesn’t always equal a mc.
The fact you’re over 12 weeks and the baby has a strong heartbeat is a really good sign!
It might be worth seeing if you can book a private scan or get seen again at hospital in a couple of weeks to ease your worries.

Thank you so much for your message I'm not sure anywhere is doing private scans due to covid. This hospital have been amazing so if still is all and well and bleeding slows and no pain arises then will call hospital in a few days and ask if they can book me in for a scan just to be sure baby is ok for peace of mind. Because of my history of miscarriages at this hospital they offer scans every 2 weeks but due to covid have not been able to do that unless we are worried. Thank you again for sharing with me u have made me feel better already.

I've been through this in 3 pregnancies. First at 16-19 weeks baby born at 32 weeks is now 10. 2nd pregnancy from 9 weeks to 16 unfortunately not a positive outcome, was twins. Third pregnancy from 7-9 weeks born on due date now 5.

My bleeding has pretty much stopped thankfully. Had a lil pink went wiped after wee but nothing coming out into pad. just literally a smudge from this morning and no pain thank god. Praying for the best outcome xx

unfortunately last night about 10pm I wiped when I went toilet and it was bright red blood again. Thankfully nothing is coming on pad so I'm not heavy currently like I was on the first day. I was so positive when I had no more blood it was just a scare and was so happy and now I feel silly for getting excited prematurely cos I am still bleeding. I havent got any pain thankfully. I have my ups and downs with emotions I just want to know ome way or another what is happening so I cant start mentally preparing. this is so soul draining. I keep finding myself going to my bedroom for a lil rest and then bursting out crying then falling asleep. I then wake up and forget for just 1 sec and then it all comes flooding back. I'm so worried I am going to loose our baby. this is the part I hate about having a baby the stress of the unknown.
