He blacked out on swing (I wasn't there) flew and landed on head. Unconscious. Woke to severe neck pain and loss of sensation and movement in legs. Already had no movement for last week due to functional neurological disorder of 18ths resulting from ptsd.

I cant keep doing this 😔

I’m a bit confused. He has ptsd which is causing neurological issues. Ptsd caused by his father’s undiagnosed mental health issues. He’s now recovering from an accident at the same dad’s? Or was there an interim stepdad?

Milbo that's excellent to hear. Treatment has been poor. Neuropsych referred to physio and camhs 18 months ago and have twice refused to review him (paediatrician requests).

We're now having family therapy which I think is an important part.

ptsd caused by mix of things inc dads sectioned twice. multiple immediate family bereavements in short space time inc uncle by suicide. growing up with ASD sister. Dad finally stable now, we're separated.

Poor him and poor you.

In your shoes I'd be making contact with Alan Gordon. He's in the States but he's amazing. He is a psychologist who had FND himself and now helps others. Also look at Curable if you haven't yet. It's amazing and children can use it safely.

OP this does all sound awful. You poor thing. Could you explain a bit more- it might help writing it out, and I’m not sure I understand what’s going on to be able help.

Firstly, what’s going on with you? How’s your head? Are you still seeing stars?

How is your DS? How old is he, and what’s happening with his PTSD?

Sorry I’m just being curious and wanting to see if we can help a bit more Flowers

Thank you x. its fine being cautious. There's just a long back story which is hard to summarise.

Trauma after trauma after trauma. Initially about me ex with undiagnosed bipolar. Terrible depression, nearly successful suicide, massive psychotic episode. Separation after 25 yrs. Then ddd ASD diagnosis day after DS admitted to hospital with sudden onset paralysis of legs. Diagnosed Functional Neurological Disorder as a result of PTSD - all stuff with his df plus 3 close family deaths inc one suicide. Severe disability and pain episodes. Near drowing in Jan. Near broken neck on Monday.

I am wrecked.
