Stoopid Foot

I fell off a tree about two weeks ago. My ankle/top of foot feels weird and achey sometimes and has a strange white lump on it (pic attached). It never bruised, didn't really swell and I could bare weight throughout.

Is this a sprain, wise vipers?

No wise vipers tonight? Sad

What did the x-ray look like?

wowfudge · 05/05/2020 22:29

I'd be more concerned you'd broken something. Ring your GP in the morning - most are doing telephone or video consultations. How does your other compare? This one looks swollen to me.

I expect you can predict the answer to this... I haven't had one.

It's a very dull ache and I only noticed the white lump today. I suppose because I've had things that hurt worse and had nothing wrong I didn't think it could be worse than a twang.

Hang on, wowfudge. I'll get you a comparison.

I broke mine recently. The doctor said the criteria for needing an xray was being unable to bear weight or walk four steps. If you’ve been walking around it’s unlikely to be broken.

StoopidFoot · 05/05/2020 22:36

Not sure there's much comparison.

Huh. Where's my photo?

Oh, there it is. I should put the wine down... Hmm

They look the same - I'd still get it checked out though.

Ganglion cyst caused by trauma?

wowfudge · 06/05/2020 08:13

I broke a toe years ago and had no treatment for it, no x-ray, nothing. It was painful, but I could walk on it so I did because I was on holiday and 18. The toe is now slightly proud of the others when I put my foot down.

StoopidFoot · 06/05/2020 08:28

Thanks, everyone. I will get it looked at. I didn't know that ganglions could be caused hy trauma? That would fit the lump thing!
