Sorry if this has been done to death....we just impulse bought a Magimix Compact (primarily because I tried making hummus with a hand blender at the weekend and it went EVERYWHERE!)

Arrived today, so far we have managed to grate cheese with it 😂 Plan to make soup as well, this is something I would have used a hand blender for before. Also smoothies.

What else do you use your food processors for? It does look pretty and shiny on my kitchen counter but would like to actually use it!

Doughs and batters. So bread & pizza and all cakes etc.
Quick coleslaw. Milkshakes, slushies....

As well as soup, I use mine for:
Falafel
Pasta sauces
Carrots for carrot cake (better texture than grating)
Salad dressings
Nut roast

Mine makes the best pastry. Don't make it often these days but it's far superior to shop bought.

Guacamole

mynameiscalypso · 05/05/2020 21:52

Pastry! I make industrial quantities of pesto in mine too. Does it have the slicing attachment? That's very useful when you're making a potato gratin or something like that.

Patapouf · 05/05/2020 21:53

Falafel
Peanut butter
Courgette fritters
Granola bars

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 05/05/2020 21:54

Am still investigating all of the attachments but yeah I'm sure it has a slicer.

I used mine to make chicken burgers tonight- delicious!

AtleastitsnotMonday · 05/05/2020 22:35

I made a great dip in mine today, vacuum packed beetroot with horseradish and natural yoghurt. Delicious.

lifestooshort123 · 06/05/2020 07:35

Mine sits on the side gathering dust (hangs head). It's the thought of all the washing up that puts me off, I've got a stick blender for soups and I use a bowl and electric whisk for cakes. There's only 2 of us so never need loads of onions etc.

WingBingo · 06/05/2020 08:01

Bread
Bisque
Mayonnaise / bearnaise
Stuffing
Curry paste
Pesto

I could go on!! Maybe start with the recipe book it comes with? Magixmix’ are ace.

hoxt · 06/05/2020 22:28

Hummus
Crumble topping
