Can anyone answer a quick question about redundancy?

If I am made redundant is my employer obliged to pay me for my contractual notice period (3 months) or just the statutory redundancy notice period (1 week). I've been employed 2.5 years so statutory redundancy is very little.

It would be your contractual notice ( although they can make you work this), plus your redundancy money.

Contractual. It always overrides statutory notice, if the contractual notice is greater.

Thank you both. That is a relief,
