Ikea delivery - can anyone get one?

Keep trying to get an ikea delivery but they only seem to have slots for small items - not a desk that I want to get. I'm wondering if it's to do with the area I am in or if it's nationwide and if anyone has any tips or has managed to secure a delivery for any thing like furniture etc?

I think they stopped 'two-person' deliveries (i.e., anything big and heavy) at the start of the lockdown because of the social distancing rules.

I have one in just over a weeks time, for a desk amongst a few other things. The order was placed about 10 days ago, so quite a wait..

I have several recently. They can’t do two person delivery but I have had a large Kallax delivered as it came in two boxes, a desk and today a smaller Kallax and a quite large chest of drawers as well some smaller items. About 3 weeks for delivery’s though. I am in south west London

I’ve got a delivery coming on Wednesday. A desk and a kids bed. I’ve had to wait about 2 weeks though

We ordered a desk today. Not a particularly big one. Next available delivery: 25th June. We’re in Kent.

maybe they deliver but check if they do returns.

We’ve got a changing table turning up on Friday hopefully, bought last Thursday. Maybe we got lucky! We’re quite close to the Croydon branch.

Yes, got a fairly large wooden garden table coming in the next few days, I ordered it from the Edinburgh store.

It’s area specific, their website suggests that they’re still delivering large items BUT only leaving it on your doorstep, they won’t enter your house due to covid etc.

Just tried two postcodes- they won’t truck deliver to my London address, but will deliver to a previous Midlands address starting from June 5th

Your proximity to an ikea store may be a factor too. On previous occasions I have ordered large items from their website which were actually delivered from my local store
