We have just "bought" Onward on Amazon. It says it's a Home Cinema Premiere. What I can't work out is if we own it or if it is a one-off rental. It's not clear on Amazon. Does anyone know please?

How much did you pay?

TwigTheWonderKid · 04/05/2020 16:11

Too much! I think it was about £14. But I'm guessing there is a difference is "buying" a film digitally that's also availableon DVD and thi snew thing which is basically a film that hasn't been in a cinema yet. I wouldnt expect to go the cinema, pay once and then watch the film as many times as I wanted.

if it's a rental it will tell you on the desktop webpage for it and possibly in whichever app you watch it on that your 48hr rental period starts when you click play. I think with rentals you get 30 days to watch but 48 hrs once you start it. It should tell you somewhere

I think with the at home premiere ones, you pay a cinema price, but as you wouldn't take the film home from the cinema, it only stays for a 48 hour period. Basing it off another thread were someone bought Trolls
