I don't really have much make up but I ordered somethings from Avon for £29. I realised I haven't bought a lipstick for 3 years. How have you treated yrself? and what do you miss.

Nothing so far. But we are going to have an afternoon tea to take away this week and I am very excited. Grin CakeBrew

Taswama · 04/05/2020 12:41

Well I’ve bought a new running bra (exciting!) and am considering getting a park run apricot tee shirt. I was on target to get my first milestone tee shirt (50) later this year, but obviously won’t now and I can’t see it restarting for a long long time as there were regularly 600 + people there. But it’s £33 so I’m struggling to justify the cost.

Afternoon tea sounds lovely Sparkling .

A lot of the local tea rooms and farm shop cafes are doing them @Taswama. I hope it will be good. I don’t have a cake stand though.

ChrisPrattsFace · 04/05/2020 12:47

I bought a new dress I’ve been eyeing up for months. I wear them daily but I look forward to being able to go beyond my driveway in it!

Sparklingbrook · 04/05/2020 12:48

I haven’t looked at any online shopping yet. I bet there’s a lot of bargains to be had in clothing. The spring season has gone now as far as the shops are concerned.

DottieLottie1 · 04/05/2020 12:51

Same as @Sparklingbrook, Luxury afternoon tea for 2 hamper delivered to my doorstep. Well excited!

pastapestoparmesan · 04/05/2020 12:52

@Taswama do you usually go to a cafe after parkrun? If so, that could be a way of justifying the cost to yourself - all those cafe visits you haven’t had.

Kelsoooo · 04/05/2020 12:59

Definite treats: silk pillowcase

Half treats (kinda needed them) : clothes

Not treats but good long term investments: new facemask, eyelash tint and developer, eyebrow due (just4men who knew that'd work so well)

Treats for the family: takeaway, recipe book (okay I'll use it but it's for everyone to benefit from) stuff for the rabbits that they don't need, dye for the kids hair etc.

wilde85 · 04/05/2020 13:16

My treat was a new shark hoover! 😁

Ilovetheseventies · 04/05/2020 13:19

Taswana sorry I'm not sure how to hi light. I doo the park run, are any of the t shirts free? I was told that by several people but I thought it strange. I was thinking of getting a wristband with my bar code on.
I hope for £33 it's a good quality shirt!

It was lovely getting my parcel through!

I like your logic @pastapestoparmesan ! I was going about twice a month and only going for a coffee if DS was with me, about once a month. Cake too if he'd ran well, so prob about £7 maybe £10 at most.

@Ilovetheseventies - the milestone ones are postage only. DS1 got his 10 one (only available for juniors) and is proud to wear it when we do our not parkrun run on Saturday mornings.

Shmithecat2 · 04/05/2020 14:17

New Asics trainers.
New clothes.
Gin.

ifonly4 · 04/05/2020 14:26

Not exactly a personal treat, but I'm literally buying what I want/fancy in the supermarket. Today I bought a luxury pizza, parmentier potatoes, sweet potato chips and two bottles of red wine Grin - normally it would have been a cheap/reduced pizza and some new potoates.

BarbedBloom · 04/05/2020 14:28

So many plants. None were especially expensive except for one that I have had my eye on for a while - also had to get a humidifier and a water filter jug for that one. I focused on improving the inside of my home and the garden as I I haven't been out for a couple of months

Bearlyclearly · 04/05/2020 14:57

I’ve bought a Newgate clock for the lounge, an advert kept popping up on Facebook for it even though I loved it there was no way I’d spend £100 on a clock, had a nosey on Ebay and found an outlet shop selling it for half the price and also on eBay I found a Seasalt dress I had liked that had gone out of stock for less than half price.

spiderlight · 04/05/2020 15:18

I've bought some nice (for me) shampoo online, and have just ordered new bath-towels for myself and DH - ours have started to get very frayed around the edges and I could have a go at sewing them, but we've had them since we moved to this house in 2006 so I think I can justify replacing them.

snappychat · 04/05/2020 15:44

a new toaster and kettle, shelves for my kitchen, 3 x 7ft trees for my garden, make up and I'm now Christmas shopping :)

fluffysocksgoodbookwine · 04/05/2020 16:10

Mostly chocolate and red wine so far. I'm gaining weight at an alarming rate! Blush

RoobyMyrtle · 04/05/2020 16:20

A doorstep delivery of posh bread once a week (makes the end of the week fridge soup taste better) and then plants, seeds, & gardening tools. I'm eyeing up a couple of garden steamer chair next as we probably won't be able to go on holiday. I've been wanting those for a few years.

redeyetonowheregood · 04/05/2020 16:26

Takeaway every week. Usually just have it once a month but want to support our local businesses so that they survive. It has been lovely.

TubereuseNordlys · 04/05/2020 16:30

New iPhone - been meaning to for ages but DS2's phone is at the end of its life (he always has my cast offs). It was 0% finance so seemed like an ideal time.

And a Coach bag. Shouldn't have opened the thread Grin

I've saved so much in petrol money (hour commute) that I don't feel too guilty.

Ihaventgottimeforthis · 04/05/2020 16:31

Scallops and spider crab for weekday tea.
But the crab were only 2.50 each so I'm not sure if it counts as a 'treat..?

maddiemookins16mum · 04/05/2020 16:43

We have been eating much nicer meat as using our local butcher more. Steak on Saturday, fabulous pork on Sunday and posh venison burgers for tea tonight.
