Asda delivery question

Sorry if this is silly question. I am possibly overthinking (as I often do). I have an Asda delivery pass which I normally use every few weeks for heavier shopping. Due to poor health and also shopping for elderly parents I have been using it weekly. Today I was offered a recurring slot.

I just noticed basket needs confirmed two days before delivery with this. I normally confirm my order as late as possible the night before.

My issue is, if I confirm my shopping two days before (Friday night) and items go out of stock over the weekend like fresh fruit and veg are they taken out of my shop? Even though they may be back in on time on Monday am.

For example I order green grapes on Friday. They sell out over weekend but are back in on Monday. Do I get them or are they removed on Saturday when they go out of stock?

Sorry if that’s clear as mud. I don’t mind so much for my own stuff but need certain stuff for my parents and don’t know if I should keep this or just keep booking deliveries separately. Thank you.

I don't know for sure but I would have thought if they are there when the order pickers go to the grapes then you will get them. That's how it works at Tesco any way.

I have a recurring asda slot. They email the day before to advise if anything is out if stock to allow you the chance of choosing a substitution or they'll choose if you don't.

You can still amend your order up to 10 pm the night before delivery but you must have checked out at least 2 days beforehand.

Hope that makes sense! Grin

ExclamationPerfume Thanks that’s what I hoped but just worrying that it’s actually removed from the list. Will maybe have to give it a go on the first week (it starts Monday 18th) and see.
It would be great if it works and I suppose if there’s loads missing I can always cancel it and go back to getting slots wherever they are available.

Not sure if this is the same but I booked an ASDA click and collect last week for today, when I went to amend my order over the weekend it was telling me a lot of my items in my trolley were out of stock and would be removed from my trolley if I amended my order, so I didn't amend my order.
Today everything I had ordered that was saying out of stock and still say out of stock on the app are actually available and in my click and collect shop.

Good question OP, I have been wondering the same thing too.

Thank you all so much.
EatsShootsAndRuns and ZombieFred - that would work ok then for me. So I will definitely hold onto it then. I didn’t think they were offering recurring any more so hopefully will be ok.

Roselily36 I will update. Won’t be until 18th though!
