3yo keeps having nose bleeds at night.

Hi, just looking for some advice.

3yo Dd keeps waking up covered in blood. Probably 2-3 times a week and it’s been happening for around 2 months.
What could be causing it?

She seems well in herself and it’s only happened 3 time in the day.

Have you tried filing her nails? My 3 year old stocks his fingers in his nose while asleep. If I’m not really careful when trimming his nails he has surprisingly sharp corners. Since I’ve started filing them he hasn’t had more nosebleeds.

I used to get them all the time at that age, and my DS (4) is the same.

We both have hayfever/allergies and the dust etc irritates our noses. For DS its noticably worse on warm nights when the air is dry. You could try making her room more humid somehow. Bowl of water on open windowsill?
