If moving to a new area, do you consider the state of the local water?

Serious question. It’s something we take for granted..well I do anyway . Turn on the tap, run it for a little while , fill a glass and drink.
Somehow I landed on a West cumbria fb page and those people are not happy about the state of their water.
So many say when there’s a bit of a drought, the water is switched to 50/50 lake and borehole water and when that happens, some people suffer terrible Itchy skin rashes, especially now with the more frequent hand washing,
Poorly tums, even affects their pets.
Some people say that when They lived in other areas of the uk they were fine, moved there and noticed the effect, they say the water has on them.
You can drink bottled water of course, but baths and showers are something else.
I’m not in the market for moving right now but definitely something to consider for those that are.
I
