Have you bought one?
Would you recommend?
And if so which brand?

My DD has had a Garmin junior one - the older sort before they got colour screens, for a year ir so.

It’s great really. It has a game on the app and You can set up tasks: homework, tidy your room, be nice to your sister etc and send virtual coins as rewards.

We've had Garmin for years. The kids ones came out just a bit too late for them. DS 12 has just bought himself the vivosport with birthday money.

DS(6) has got a cheap one from amazon. Was less than £20. Doesn’t really do anything other than count steps but that’s all he wanted it for so it did the job. Glad we never spent more as the novelty wore off pretty quick!

Dd has just spent her birthday money on a kids FitBit. I wanted her to get a garmin coz they looked to have better functionality but she was very single minded about it.
It only monitors step count, exercise & sleep but I'm hopeful it will keep her focused on staying active as she is overweight.

@BasinHaircut was wondering about cheap ones. And not sure how long the interest is going to last..,,

Depends how old they are I guess. DS was 5 when we got his and I know his attention span limitations and the likelihood that it would end up in a cup of water so went with the cheap option. It’s not bad though, does the job, I even wear it sometimes.
