Creepy Abandoned Buildings

I have been browsing youtube and came across many buildings that people explore. These range from asylums to old homes. Just wondering if anyone has ever explored a abandoned building. The only thing I've ever have been to was a old rag ww2 watch tower in Lincolnshire.

Must admit they giving me the chills specially seeing the old abandoned asylums Grin

I often survey old buildings by myself. Yes pretty creepy but I get over it quickly. Yes I have done military, asylums, hospitals etc. Even haunted houses.

I dont have as much time or freedom from H&S to explore as much as the urban explorers though.

I haven't explored it since I left, but this is my old school

The building has a sad history, and as you can see from all the old fittings, it wasn't changed greatly to make it a school. Even in it's current state, it's still recognisable as the school I went to.

I wonder if anyone else here remembers it too?

Quite a few years ago now I looked round an abandoned building which was used to make mines in WW2, it was such a bizarre place as it was in a idyllic spot. Eventually a local rented it for storage but it's abandoned again now as they've passed away.

No I've not been in any but I love watching them on YouTube too. Some of my favourites to watch are:

The proper people
Exploring with fighter
Abandoned work explorer

There's loads of good one on YouTube though not just these

Spent several nights in an old condemned high school as a friend of a friend's stepdad was a security guard on site. I was 14 and still don't understand why the family were allowed to live on site or why the parents allowed 20 or so teenagers to sleep over and explore our way through it all. Of course my parents had no idea I was there. Funnily enough it was actually the high school my mum went to! We swung upside down on gym equipment, discovered a room literally crammed with pigeons (dead and alive), and (like the idiots we were) threw every piece of glass equipment we could find (a lot) against a wall in the chemistry lab. Most of our exploring was in the middle of the night. Scary but ticked all the boxes for rebellious teens.
I haven't thought about this for years.
