Where did the drunk threads go?

Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place, maybe I've just not noticed they've disappeared.

But I'm drunk for the first time in about 3 years - I've just had my limit of lockdown. I want to see my family, my friends, meet my new niece.. and I've polished off a bottle of wine, now on the gin and I don't have anyone to chat to. DH has gone to bed and left me watching rubbish on the TV. I'll probably refer it in the morning, but I'm fed up with all this... I'm a key worker, but working from home during the week and I miss seeing actual human beings - video calls are not cutting it.
DH is an introvert and isn't bothered by not seeing actual people which doesn't help.

So if there is a drunk thread, and I'm just to drunk to find it - please can someone direct me.

(Hopefully this is in chat so it will disappear and I won't be too 😳 in the future).

Oh the shame - a drunk thread no one has responded to 😳😳

Hi liketeaagain I’m having a few drinks myself. I hope you’re having a nice evening. 🍷 x

I'm having a drink too. Sounds like you definitely deserve a few. Cheers!!

DramaAlpaca · 02/05/2020 23:20

I've opened a can of Guinness because DH came home with some today. Very nice it is, too.

OP, just so that you know, threads posted in Chat no longer disappear as they used to, and haven't for a long time now.

Just in case you're tempted to post something you'll regret in the morning Grin

Anyway, lockdown is getting tedious now so I sympathise Wine

I hope this doesn't sound wrong or not in keeping.

But since 7-8 weeks ago, when we had to isolate, I've been unable to drink. Tried three times. Have now given up trying.

I love red wine but I can't even abide the smell right now.

If someone would have one or two for me, I'd appreciate it. I'm sure it's good for me not to be indulging but I'm desperate to know why I feel this way and if I'm the only one.

OP, don't feel shame for the thread, enjoy it and mop up every bit of fun you can find. No idea what you do, but I agree it's hard not seeing other people.

That's interesting @TheNationalToastBoard - what is it that stops you from having a drink? I'll have one for you Wine

Iliketeaagain · 02/05/2020 23:36

Thanks @TheNationalToastBoard - I manage a team that is potentially exposed to the virus everyday, and move between guilt that I'm not there with them and relief that no-one in my team is sick enough to have gone to ITU.. being drunk is a good outcome for the moment since I work weekdays.

I didn't realise chat didn't disappear like it used to, so I'll need to be careful!!!!
