...I've just shut my own head in the fridge.Blush

I've just split my lip on the wooden door of our (integrated) fridge because DP distracted me as I was putting something away. It fucking hurt. But now I can't stop giggling, what a ridiculous way to get a split lip!

Please make me feel better and keep me smiling, what are you all laughing about tonight?

Sorry about your lip op but that did make me chuckle Grin

VelociraptorRex · 02/05/2020 21:52

Me too, I cried at first but now it's just funny Grin

Because I was reading ‘the hill I will die on’ thread.

I love the self aware pettiness.

VelociraptorRex · 02/05/2020 22:07

I saw that thread. My list of hills is far too long Blush

I got a thick lip on a car door. Our car didn't have a frame at the top of the window. Friends car did. I misjudged the distance and opened it into my mouth.

I’ve been laughing at the ‘substitutions’ thread. Especially amused by the story from a while back about the guy ordering a DVD ‘Let’s say ...Love Actually’ and receiving a lightbulb.

Katinski · 02/05/2020 22:38

substitution thread again - the person who ordered a light bulb and received - carrots.
Perhaps she'll come back and tell us if they really do help you see better in the dark?GrinGrinGrin

I laughed when I found myself going "Ner ner nah ner neeeeer" to DH - all because I cracked my head on a sheet of metal two days ago. It hurt. DH said he couldn't see blood. Today I found blood! I was right (it really did hurt at the time) and he was both unsympathetic and wrong Grin

I think maybe we've been isolating for a tad too long...

Weesweetiewife · 02/05/2020 22:50

I just watched afterlife on netflix... Also I can't stop crying..

Khione · 02/05/2020 22:51

I've been watching a bullfinch all day challenging his reflection to a fight. He keeps strutting around looking at himself in my patio doors and every now and again flying into the door (not hard) to try and chase himself away. I wouldn't mind but there isn't even a female around that he is showing off to.

Jellyhater · 02/05/2020 22:53

I watched last nights episode of Gogglebox. I’m laughing because Pete queried the fact that he had 7 mins of exercise recorded on his Fitbit at midnight. As he queried it, the penny dropped and he remember what he had been doing. On his own. In bed. At midnight.

ClientQ · 02/05/2020 22:59

My cat made me laugh. I put a garden chair outside to help him get in and out the window
He carefully jumped out around it then wailed because he couldn't get back in
His mate turned up, gave him a look of "you daft?", jumped on the chair and in the window
My cat was still outside wailing....

Fckingfuming · 02/05/2020 23:04

Laughing at your head shut in the fridge, reminds me of that film 'Drop Dead Fred' Grin

RUSU92 · 02/05/2020 23:10

Oh dear! Hope you’re ok Grin

I’ve been giggling this evening as my DS had a job interview. They asked him to describe a difficult situation that he’d had to deal with and whether he would go back and do it differently.

He replied that he wouldn’t have changed anything. And managed to stop himself from adding “because of the butterfly effect, I try not to go back and change anything”.

I almost wish he’d said it - it could only have gone really really badly or really really well - there’s no in between with that answer Grin

Cherrysoup · 02/05/2020 23:18

We watched ‘The Gentlemen’ and there are some hilarious scenes. Hugh Grant is a revelation!

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 02/05/2020 23:31

I gave myself a black eye from fitting a face mask at work clearly pressed too hard on the bridge of the nose!

Aveisenim · 03/05/2020 00:02

Totally something I'd do... DP just laughed and agreed! Grin

Fenellapitstop · 03/05/2020 00:35

I've been laughing tonight at exh messaging me to ask me who our dd has been round because she's started talking like a northerner. She pronounces words like I do

VelociraptorRex · 03/05/2020 08:44

@Fckingfuming that was partly what made us laugh so much, that and it was just such a daft thing to do Blush got a nice bruise this morning! Still giggling though Grin and I love these!

Fckingfuming · 05/05/2020 20:42

@VelociraptorRex, glad you knew which film I meant, and which part. I was worried you hadn't seen it so the reference would've totally gone over your flat head. I hope you called the fridge a 'Mega Bitch' Grin

Fckingfuming · 05/05/2020 20:44

Also hope you'te feeling better @VelociraptorRex

Fckingfuming · 05/05/2020 20:45

VelociraptorRex · 05/05/2020 21:06

This happened a good 18 months ago but still makes me and DH cry laughing if one of us starts up with it again. Then 20mo DS was seriously into this dinosaur book and kept asking for “oice” which we finally cottoned on to be “noise” after ages of blank stares, so we started enthusiastically making dinosaur noises and stomping about because it was making DS laugh so much. So I’m chasing DH across the living room pretending to be a raptor and I’ve got my elbows tucked right up for short raptor arms, DH turns round and I try to make a really loud “HAAARGHHH” noise but instead I just sort of breathe really heavily at him and make the most pathetic little breathy “heh” noise you can imagine. He looked at me completely in silence for a good 10 seconds then just dissolved laughing and we were both crying with the absolute silliness of it all for ages Grin
