What would I like for my lockdown birthday?

Birthday coming up. DH usually asks for present ideas and if there's anything I'd like to do.

I often ask for money/vouchers for clothes, something I might like to take on holiday, but I've got enough casual clothes and no chance of a holiday now. I don't need any toiletries. I can get free sprays of perfume at work and that's the only place I'm going to right now.

Any ideas please?

We haven't had a takeaway yet. Hopefully numbers will be a bit lower by my birthday, so I'm contemplating an IndianGrin

My list would include posh chocolate, new books and cosy pyjamas/loungewear

Definitely get the takeaway Grin

We had my birthday recently under lockdown, and I asked for one of these Kew pots. They make every plant look nicer, I have a rose plant in mine and it is so nice.
I got a lovely new lamp from DH. We made rice crispie buns for a cake.
Have a happy birthday.

I had some flowers delivered to the house by my in laws total surprise Flowers then the 4 of us went for a walk, we had Chinese delivered via just eat, then had happy birthday sung to me with a cake and candles and then we danced around in the living room to music til the DCs bedtime Grin
Then we watched Rocketman in the eve.

Obv not the birthday I had planned but it was actually a fun day and we can go out out to celebrate once all this is over.

DP wanted to go on a tropical holiday for his birthday so i I have rented a hot tub and bought a load of Hawaii themed paper and plastic tat from Amazon

WitchWife · 02/05/2020 17:07

Did one of these recently, I suggest nice things you can enjoy now eg: booze, plants, lovely takeaway, “meaningful” thing eg printed canvas of some picture you like, A HUGE CAKE. Happy birthday!

Ooh I love that bath shelf lachy - where's it from? My birthday is coming up too and I'm having similar dilemmas. I'll get some running trainers, but would love a proper treat.

lachy · 03/05/2020 21:59

@Definitelysometime it is fab. Not something I would have bought, but I love it. It was from Amazon - I can't find the exact one, but if you search for Bamboo Bath caddy there are a few.

I especially love the slot for my wineglassWine

There's lots of subscriptions services - magazines, but more unusually, books, sweets from different countries, wine, cheese, just about anything you can think of, and a lot of these are helping struggling suppliers survive.

Mine is coming up too and I want a sun lounger for the garden so I can recline and read books. I also want books. And flowers.

Holothane · 03/05/2020 22:12

A huge sprocket phone printer so easy to use I can print tiny pictures for my planner and seasonal ones too.
