What is this book called?

I remember reading it over the last couple of years, although I think it might have been part of a 3 book series.

It's a crime/mystery book, the main character moves back to her small home town and theres been a history of children going missing, I think specifically gifted/ginger haired children. Her own sister went missing years ago. At the end of the book/s she finds the big house with a cemetery on a cliffside I think it was.

Can't for the life of me remember what it's called and I really want to read it again.

My first thought was Sharp Objects too.
Reporter going back to small town Windgap to investigate girls' murders. Her own sister died. Great book.
