(Cheaper) alternatives to Jack Daniels

So I seem to have developed a taste for JD and coke - but have been buying the cans of it.

Looked at the bottles - but they seem expensive.

So do people have cheaper recommendations for whiskey / whisky that are 'fine'?

Jim Beam is usually cheaper. To be honest though I prefer Jack and you can usually find it on offer somewhere.

There is an Aldi copy which is fine for in coke, I think.

I quite like Jim Beam and ii find it quite a lot cheaper.

I really like it with ginger ale.

I'm sure Lidl probably do a decent one, their gin is nice.

Try buffalo trace that is sometimes on offer and I think nicer

Jack Daniels and Jim Beam are completely different

Have you compared the cost?

Both the premixed cans and normal bottles will have the number of units printed on the bottle so you can work out the comparative cost per unit.

Then obviously you have to find your coke and I would be quite surprised if it wasn't cheaper to buy them separately and mix your own.

Fortunately both Jack Daniels and Coca Cola are frequently on offer so you just need to keep an eye on the supermarket websites, in the shops or search hotukdeals, you might be able to set up an alert.

Currently, you can get a litre of JD for £23 in Tesco, this was the first website I looked at, other supermarkets might have better offers.

Buying a bottle is waaaaay cheaper then premixed cans! That's madness.

The Aldi clone is pretty decent.

My own trick is to spend more on a nicer whisk(e)y and drink less of it :) Cheaper gin if I want to actually get a bit blasted.
