Thise USB sticks that collect all your photos together and get rid of duplicates - do they work?

How do they deal with edited photos or resized ones

It seems attractive now I have time on my hands!! Has anyone used one?

Use Google photos instead?
Amazing search functionality and face recognition. No need to sort now.

Just upload to an online service like Google photos or Amazon photos. Hard drives and CDs can become unreadable over time.
