Friday night quiz help!

Hi, we need to write a quiz for a family zoom call tomorrow night... I can’t stand quizzes but it’s somehow become a tradition since lockdown. Five couples, only need 2 rounds and can send around documents/pictures if necessary.

What’s been your favourite quiz round? Looking for inspiration, please!

Television programmes from the past is usually fun.

I enjoyed the round where I took screenshots on Google Maps of famous landmarks, and people had to guess the landmark and the nearest town / city. Can pm it to you if you like but I actually had great fun making it!

Can I just ask how you're organising it? We've managed to get my mum the messenger app so we're planning on doing a quiz over video call with 5 different households. How do you do the marking of the answers? I'm such an over thinker but I'd like it to go well!

TV shows is a good idea... not everyone grew up in the UK though and the family isn’t big on TV, so will have to think about whether it could work.

We do it over Zoom, so you can see everyone. Quiz masters read out the questions, and at the end of the round we go through the questions as a reminder, then they tell us the answers and then everyone reads out their score. The scores are added up between rounds so we know who’s in the lead. Hope that helps!

@ScarlettDarling I've done a few now on zoom (hosted and participated) and everyone just marks their own after each round so it's more for the kudos. OP I've emailed you :)
