Is it called “nominative determinism”? Where your name describes your job?

I just linked the ONS baby name website to a different thread. I noticed the surname of the person who compiled it was Littleboy

DM’s GP is called Dr Blood.

Our GP when I was a child was called Dr Payne!

We had a music teacher called Mrs Melody

@happystory there was a Dr Payne at our GP surgery who retired a few months ago.

My first ballet teacher, Mrs Skipp ☺

I forgot, our milkman is called Mr Farmer

I l❤️ Mrs Skipp the ballet teacher.

In a legal environment with which I once had a connection:

Mr Court
Mrs Crooks
Mr Chrimes

And I once saw a wedding announcement:

A Mr Bath to a Miss Tubb!

Not quite nominative determinism but it still amused me nevertheless

Used to work with a dentist called Dr Sugar
