Grandma very kindly bought our two sons an Amazon Fire kids edition each to help them through lockdown but not being particularly tech-savvy we could do with some advice on how to get the most out of them.
I'm thinking about possibly Minecraft but don't really know what i'm getting in to!
8year old is really into: Ray Mears / bushcraft, Deadly 60, Lego Ninjago and making stuff out of wood.
3year old likes: Paw Patrol, Hey Duggee and cooking.
Any advice on relevant Apps / downloads etc would be really appreciated (by me and the kids!)
Thanks in advance.

Minecraft sounds like something your 8yo would really enjoy. The 'curious george' games series might be good for your 3 year old? you can see the full list of games in the series here. BBC iPlayerKids is also worth downloading on both tablets. 'Happy Studio' is another good game for your 8 year old, along with 'minion rush'. All the best x

Thank you so much for the advice. I've been thinking about Minecraft for a while but haven't heard of the others so will check them out. x

The Dr Panda games are great for pre-school age kids, so are the Toca Life ones.
Minecraft without a doubt for the 8yr old, mine adores it and it plays ok on the kindle.

There are lots of ceebies apps. I have my little ones kindle really locked down and don’t allow her access to kids YouTube but allow kids iPlayer.

Teach your monster to read is really good too.

My little boy is 4. He loves Sago mini apps and Disney ones. Numberblocks is good and CBeebies ones too.

I second Toca Boca games, they have had so much longevity in our house!
