hi - for some time I have been in a job which has been mentally draining , I am in my early 50s, have kids, a mortgage etc. My work continues to change and get stressful, and I want to get a strategy in place for leaving and moving on. Haven't a clue where to start (except focussing on getting the mortgage paid off) or what I could do. Has anyone any tips or advice or can recommend good books/websites that will support me moving into this new phase of life in a positive way.
Many thanks

Depending on your earnings etc it might be worth getting some advice from an IFA? We did so because, despite working in finance, it was too complicated for me!

well there's all the FIRE websites but you need investment money for that

so the basics
cut as many costs as you can
sell whatever you can
pay off as much mortgage as you can

work out what you actually need in order to live and plan from there.
