Just announced on Beeb

That might explain why he was back but not completely present

Thought she was due later in the year?

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2020 10:06

Lovely :)

Schoenes · 29/04/2020 10:06

Nice news - always nice when a new baby is born.

But is he about to take paternity leave now??

EdithWeston · 29/04/2020 10:07

It's been officially announced, onBBC, so I think it's happened.

We don to really need to know if he arrived early. And perhaps they just played a blinder on hiding due date (unlike the Royals, they didn't say roughly when EDD is, did they?)

EricaNernie · 29/04/2020 10:09

aw, hope all are safe

Sameold2020 · 29/04/2020 10:13

Nobody knows how many children he has apparently. Five or six?

Ricekrispie22 · 29/04/2020 10:14

Should call it Barry

AnguaResurgam · 29/04/2020 10:50

Well however many he has, it's nice news.

But I think he should save up paternity leave for later

Baconisgoodformeee · 29/04/2020 10:50

Does he know how many children he has?

Sparklingbrook · 29/04/2020 10:52

So many threads. All horrible so far.

RoseAndRose · 29/04/2020 10:56

Thank you for chastising me as horrible.

And there weren't 'so many threads' when I started this one

His absence from briefings etc was being noted yesterday. I still think it's fair comment to surmise that the birth of his nth child was the reason he wasn't present.

OP posts:
EricaNernie · 29/04/2020 11:00

the Guardian was making snide remarks 10 minutes before the birth announcement, saying he obviously can't have totally recovered since he wasnt taking pmq
Labour has to get told so that Sir Keir Starmer can know who he will be facing.

As reported earlier, this will be seen as confirmation that Johnson has (understandably) not fully recovered from his three days in intensive care - despite No 10 suggesting otherwise this week. (See 9.22am.)

I bet they wish they could Eat their words.

Samcro · 29/04/2020 11:01

surely he won't take more time off.

eveoha · 29/04/2020 11:15

Well the rest of us are being forced too!
