Tension headaches

I've been headachy for a week now. My shoulders feel tense and I'm sure this is the cause of them. Any magic cures? I've tried hot water bottle, stretches, meditation but the only relief is to lie in the dark and sleep. I have a lot of work to do on a computer and a three year old to look after so sleeping isn't an option.

Yoga helped me massively. I'd had one tight shoulder for about ten years and I took one Yoga class with a very experienced teacher and I kid you not I felt it just POP back in.

Other than that, warm baths and lying flat on the floor and thinking about your body carefully...relaxing each and every inch of it bit by bit. ALso, wear a scarf and watch yourself....try to keep an eye on what you're doing with your shoulders, neck and jaw....are you hunching? Clenching? Take a moment every hour or as often as possible to notice your body.
