Potty training

Please help. I am potty training my 2yr 7 month year old. She is my 3rd child and the other two went through potty training relatively easy.

She chooses to wear knickers each morning and each morning says "I won't wee in my knickers will I?" we go on the potty at hourly intervals and she sits on there and we play and chat or just now she is watching Peppa on there but she doesn't go. As soon as she gets off, pulls her pants up and goes to play she will wet herself. It happens every time. She can be on there for an hour. Other days I have tried letting her lead. She knows when she needs to go and tells me or wriggles about and then I always put her on the potty but she won't go.

We've talked about stopping and still might but the opportunity of lockdown and the fact that she is this age just makes me think it would be a mistake to not persevere. How do I know if she's not ready?

Her nappy is often dry first thing in the morning and she is not going more frequently than 2 hourly which are the things I've been told to look for, also when wearing a nappy she always tells us when she is going and wants her nappy changing straight away.

Any advice greatly received!
