Ridiculously excited that I’m getting to leave the house!

Where we are restrictions have been lifted so that you can go out for non essential travel as long as social distancing maintained.

I have an appointment to look a5 an electric bicycle. In a socially distancing shop. I am beyond excited. It’s made me realize that while I’ve basically been ok through this, the excitement at being out is like a lift to the soul.

I’ve been out for dog walking, shopping (I hate the shopping, queuing, not being able to find my in laws favourites), and exercise since this started. This feels like a tiny bit of normal.

Happy for you OP! Did you get the bike?

The things that I miss are travel, and places being shut. My friend asked me yesterday if I'd had any visitors since Feb and I thought about it and said "well the gas men came round..."

I was ill in the few weeks run up to lockdown so very much not prepared for it.

The bike is on order - I will have to have another outing to make sure it fits when it's built. The excitement.

With the weather turning I'm really grateful we can go out as often as we like - it means we can take advantage of any bits of sunshine.

I also popped into the office to pick up my office chair. That was weird, big building with maybe 10 people in it who can't work from home - all socially distancing.

Getting glammed up for the bike shop. Love it. 😂
Not going to lie, I’m extremely jealous.

I went to A&E yesterday (suspected broken foot, it was fine - just bruised) and I really enjoyed the drive there and back (DH drove!) Hadn't been in the car or the town centre since lockdown.

I'm leaving the house for the first time in weeks tomorrow morning - it's to go to the hospital for my 20 week scan so I'm very nervous but looking forward to a different scene!

Although, I did have visions of empty roads akin to post apocalypse scenes in movies but local Facebook groups now seem to read that it's positively business as usual out there!
