Query for the teeth keepers/dentists

My 8 year old has recently lost all 4 canine teeth and one molar tooth. All 5 teeth have split in half from root to tip within 48 hours of leaving his mouth.

Why?! Why would this happen and what does it mean? Anyone else had this happen? I'm worried that it means his teeth are poorly Sad

Here's a pic of the broken teeth. One is missing.

They dehydrate quickly causing them to split, solution is to keep them damp but then they can get smelly. Maybe keep them in a diluted bleach solution?

Okay, I get that they might dehydrate over time, but within 48 hours?
This is my third child, I've been a (weirdo) tooth-keeper parent for over 20 years and I've not seen a tooth split in half ever before...it's seems odd and unusual to me Confused
