Cool websites to release the boredom

I love looking at Flight Radar and Vessel Finder. My favourite is probably Google Earth though. The detail is amazing these days and on a wet morning I enjoy a scroll at slow speed across the UK and abroad, seeing what I can spot.

There is something colourful going on in the park at the corner of Kingsley Road, Northampton.

In someone's garden in Folgate Road, Heacham there is a very unusual ornament to say the least.

In the docks at Rosyth I can see six sleek 'blue whales' and in the sea between Beer and Sidmouth I can see what looks like phosphorescent jellyfish sparkling in the sea (though I suspect this is just some form of pixelation).

Anyone else Google Earth fans? Anybody got any other cool site ideas?

Reddit, a huge forum with multiple boards that you can follow and create a personalised homepage, you could fill it with recipes, gardening, beautiful imagery, jokes anything you want.

Coursera, free online courses on a huge variety of topics, you have to pay to get a certificate but you can sign up and watch all the lectures and read all the materials for free on most courses.

YouTube, I love watching animal live feeds on YouTube, I've watched kittens playing in a rescue where they had 24/7 cameras set up, eagles nest in America, footage of wildlife areas where you can sit and wait for something to wander by, or live feeds of big cities though I imagine they're quite ghostly right now.

There's a game people play on Google earth where they pick a point randomly on the map, zoom right in to street level aand see how long it takes them to wander around and find an airport, letting you 'escape' from whatever city you randomly picked
