So my DM passed away early March, she left a will and named a solicitor as Sole Executor - all fine.
Finally managed to get around to contacting the Solicitor today (horrid little man)
I asked if I myself could apply for Probate (save some money!) and he told me that as he is the Sole Executor, he has to apply for Probate himself... Is that correct ?
Also I have to provide ID - again fine - but he said I can just photocopy two forms of ID and post them to him (understand social distancing) but are copies ok?
Sorry - feel stupid for asking!
