AIBU coronavirus and tenancy

Hi, i am posting this so hopefully someone can give me their opinion or try to help with some options I might not have seen.
So DH, DD and I came on holidays to Malaga to visit his family and then Spain went into lockdown before we could return.
DH has gone upaid on his job and I am on mat leave. Our tenancy + council + bills is now just supported by our savings and my mat pay. We are playing to move out as soon as we can to Malaga so he can attend his mother who has being diagnosed with cancer.
Just wondering if there’s is anything or anywhere I could ask support with the tenancy or if there is anyway we can approach our letting agency. We are scared our landlady can evict us before we can travel back and move out.
Thanks for reading

Are you paying the rent? You can't be evicted if so.
Do you want to end the tenancy early?
Do you have more than £6k in savings? If not you may be able to claim housing benefit.

You could try universal credit, but I'm not sure you'd get it as you're not in the country.
Why haven't you travelled home?

Pipandmum · 27/04/2020 16:18

First I don't see why you haven't come home. There doesn't seem to be a restriction on leaving the country, or if your intention is now to remain why don't you give notice, come home and move out?
You need to email your letting agent. As long as you are paying rent all is well and good. If you are struggling tell them and ask what can be worked out. Has you husband been furloughed? Are you not getting any maternity pay?
I'm a private landlord and two tenants have not been paying. One is self employed and aims to pay as much as she can when the self employed scheme pays out in June, and the other tenant has been furloughed so will again pay when he gets paid. I have reduced the rent for another tenant.
You can be evicted for non payment but not for three months.
Get in touch with your agent.

We took the ferry because we brought our car but they stopped the services before we could amend our ticket

We bought a fly, tried to get in to the airport and we were stopped by the police saying it was 3 of us in the same car (DD, DH and me) tried to explain them but they say it is not permission for travelling 3 people on the same car as per law. We didn’t get a fine but forced to return back
