Pregnant after miscarriage.

Hi everyone, first time using this but I’m soo worried and need some advice. Had a miscarriage march 22nd last month (trust it to be on Mother’s Day 😩) anyway I’ve just found out I’m pregnant without even having a period. I’m getting period pains on and off all day and I know that’s normal but I just feel like I’m counting down the days until I have a miscarriage. I’ve got two children but with my youngest he was born 7 weeks premature and I had strep B. I just don’t know if that’s why I miscarried last month. I’ve not rang doctors to try and get to see a midwife as I just feel as though I’m going to lose the baby anyway. I just don’t think I’m over my miscarriage yet and I honestly didn’t think pregnancy could happen without getting a period first.

Oh lovely, I am honestly not sure what to say to you without sounding trite. Could you perhaps have been pregnant with twins, and one of them is still viable? That can happen. So you might be still pregnant and a month further along... Maybe just hang in there and phone your doctor or midwife for some advice? They will be able to at least give you facts and figures so to speak. It's horrible not knowing and just waiting for something to happen, but you never know, it might be ok.
Gentle hugs to you xx

I had scans on March 25th and blood tests to confirm the miscarriage and had a negative test a week later when they asked me to take one. I know I sound silly but I’m just feeling so negative this time around by the whole experience. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me Smile I just don’t know when to ring the doctors and tell them I am pregnant, with all this going on in the world right now I’m sure it’s leaving everyone unsure on what to do xx

Hello, the same thing happened to me, pregnant straight after a miscarriage. I had to have blood tests 3 days apart to confirm rising hcg levels and not levels left over from the precious previous pregnancy. I would call the doctor for some advise. It is v difficult to stay positive and it took me a long time to calm down and accept that the pregnancy might actually be successful

Congratulations Smile i will give the doctors a ring I just don’t want to bother them at the minute with everything going on. Yes that’s the thing I’m ok in the day time as I’ve got two children to look after but at night time I just can’t calm down and just imagine the worst.
