than rescuing a moribund bee? I just revived 2 with sugar water. It's so quick and easy and just makes you feel good about yourself. I love bees.

Ive never had to do this.
Do you just put it on a saucer and the bee finds it or do you pick him up and put him near it?
How much sugar do you add?
Thinking I should be clued up on this for when summer comes and I may need to help a bee or two.

I just pop half a teaspoon of sugar in the smallest mini little preparation bowl I have, add half a teaspoon of water and microwave it for 10 secs or so until it's dissolved, check it's not too hot and then offer it to the bee on the tip of a teaspoon. It's amazing how fast it revives them. When they've had a decent amount I encourage them to climb onto the spoon and use it to carry them to a good flower. It's lovely to see them go from nearly dead to buzzing about their business again within a few minutes.

I love bees too.

My dd4 has a bit of a phobia of them I think its the buzzing she doesn't like, but she had honey on her pancake this morning and after I explained where honey came from she was going up to any bees she seen on our walk today saying "thank you for the honey Mr Bee" so I think we've cured her phobia

I love bees too. Is there a lovelier sound than bees lazily buzzing around the flowers on a warm summers day?

I’ve never revived one though I did set one free yesterday that ds had caught in a glass in his room. It made me feel a bit better as I’d accidentally mopped up a spider that morning Sad
