Kim Jong um dead?

Theres been a few reports of his death after a heart surgery that went wrong. He hasn't been seen in a while including important state holidays. I wonder if its true or not?

DH said he saw the same theory online but all unconfirmed. Apparently his sister would take over who is allegedly even worse. Not sure what to make of it.

Hmm I'm suspicious. It's so secretive! I think he is probably ill or recovering somewhere. I think they would have announced it if he was dead?

Apparently he disappeared for forty days a while ago though, so who knows.

Didn’t they take ages to announce it when the Dad died? They get the new leader firmly in place before they announce the old one has died.

He’s spending too much time on social media. He posts on here a lot too. Even PM’d me the other day.

I told him he should spend time with his family and look at what really matters, education, healthcare, agriculture. Also, if he should come on here again, not to post on AIBU. With his blood pressure, he should spend more time in the gym or some light gardening. He didn’t reply, but I did get one from Boris. He’s coming back tomorrow.

He'll be replaced by someone just as bad if he is

North Korea is one on my 'pet topics' so I've been following this for a few days.

Its really hard to know what's going on, apparently his train has appeared at a big resort in the east of the country where he often lives which might indicate that he is there and recuperating from some sort of sugery as reported.

It's such a secretive nation though thst there really is no way to know until they announce it.

It's understood that it would be unlikely that they wouldn't announce his death until his successor is in place. The issue is that the only real successor is his younger sister, and they can't get over (shock horror) that she is a woman (and potentially also pretty wicked!)

Other countries being very careful about what they say, and he has disappeared before. I think it's unlikely that he's dead, but possible. And who knows what their Covid situation is like, I'd imagine pretty awful...

Who knows - would we be told? I’d be more worried about the health of his surgeon. How can his sister be worse - wasn’t he picked from the siblings as having the most tryanical nature?

Given that we don't have any way to know how many cases there are of Covid in NK could he just being hidden away in a luxury lockdown? They wouldn't be able to say that and also keep the world from knowing they (potentially) have many cases.

If he is then we won't know until the full details of his esteemed life as an extremely talented man who has single handedly made a happy life for many North Koreans and has caused the crops to grow, invented many wonderful things and achieved things that the downtrodden, poor people in the West can only dream of have been made public.
