Fabulous Fire Pit Fuel....

Looking for recommendations from your fire pit aficionados... DH fashioned an impromptu one from a tumble dryer drum he had in the garage, however, we seemed to go through LOTS of random wood (we had in the garage also) and there was also quite a bit of smoke. Any top tips out there?

It's all about the drying. The drier the wood, the leaa smoke, less smell, less bother.

There's a lovely poem about burning dofdere t types of wood. I'll see if I can find it!
