I'm so unfit. Where do I start?

I'm really not looking after myself properly. I eat OK most of the time but I have got into a real lazy rut and I just feel .... blah.

I was very ill last year (cancer) and was just starting to get my life back on track when the shitshow that is CoVID-19 broke. I want to make an effort, I need to look after my skin, my hair (just growing back from chemo now) and clean up my diet a bit. I need to be getting some exercise, can anyone suggest anything gentle that will get me started. And some tips to keep on top of things?

I tried some yoga a couple of weeks ago but I think I overstretched and it's put me off. I'm only a few months after a bilateral mastectomy so need to be a bit careful. I'm also shielding.

I just feel really low about myself if you know what I mean. I want to get back to full health and feel I was almost there, or certainly getting there and now I've just let it slide.

Any advice?

From walking indoors, 7 min yoga, exercise for beginners. Just search & see what you fancy & if you start one & don’t like it just switch to a different one.

I agree with YouTube
There’s an account I follow on there called fitness blender and they do great home workouts that you can do at your own pace. Also I would say try running but just stop and start until you can build up to constant running! You’ll start to really enjoy
It once you see results and I found it helps me sleep much better if I exercise! If it weren’t for lockdown I would suggest swimming as that’s great too.
Good luck Grin

I was going to say walk/run. Lampposts are a good marker. Walk until you reach one, then run until you reach the next. Don't push yourself too hard or go to long.

I used to run before my pelvic floor became even more crap. A shower and full body moisturizer straight afterwards will have you glowing in no time!

Whatever you choose, good luck op!

If love to try going for a run but as I'm shielding I can't. I suppose I could run up and down the garden. 😁
