Spider identification - similar to false widow

Husband is currently sorting out an area of the shed.

He showed me a spider and asked what to do with it. He was going to move it to another part of the garden but I’m wondering if that will be ok to do.

It’s the identical size and shape of a false widow spider

But - it is black and shiny with no markings other than some dimples on its large abdomen

This means I can’t seem to identify it as any typical false widow or black widow as there aren’t any brown or red markings

Has anyone seen one like this before?

Are you in a country where it could be a black widow? A photo might help someone to identify it for you?

I didn’t have time to take a photo before he took it away again.

I’m in Hertfordshire UK

I haven’t been able to find one that has the exact colouring online and have used the natural history museum identification page with no luck.
Thought it could be a rabbit hutch widow type but they are normally more brown
