Is trampolining really as good as jogging??

I mean, could this possibly be true?? I read it on the Internet, but obviously not everything online is nonsense.... And if it is true, how much and what type of leaping around would I need to be doing for it to actually be beneficial?? I just don't believe it because it seems to good to be true....
Disclaimer I'm out in the countryside with no houses attached so I won't be spying into a neighbour's garden... 😊

Yes, better. It strengthens your core. When DS does a routine in a competition they last for about 20 seconds. He is knackered. However, you need to do basics. From what I have gleaned, tighten everything including butt. Keep as upright as possible, point toes.

Wish my pelvic floor could cope with trampolining.

Is this full size trampoline or a trampette?

Wwyd20 · 25/04/2020 18:53

I run, but after an hour at one of those trampoline places I was in agony for a week! Definitely more of a workout. If it’s a tramped then less than a trampoline.

It's not comparing like with like. They're totally different forms of exercise with totally different effects.

Full size trampoline. Just looking for general exercise in these locked down times. Obviously have to bring the kids everywhere at the moment and walking or cycling with them is not much of a work out. So, just bouncing vigorously for 20 minutes, every day? Would that be enough to keep vaguely fit?

I used to run but damaged feet so had already been reduced to fast walking pre lock down. I loved running and piled on weight when I had to quit. 😔

Good luck finding a trampoline! DH has about given in to get one for DD's birthday and we've been looking for a while, no dice.

We have one zis. It's keeping me and the kids sane!
