I have only tried 3. Kahlua, which I liked but is very sweet. Malibu, which I didn't like. And Domaine de Canton, which I like but expected more of (it does have a lovely aftertaste.)

Chartreuse? Or Pineau (might need to look hard, it's a French thing I've rarely found here).

Justonedayatatime11 · 25/04/2020 19:48

I've just ordered a bottle of Disaronno velvet, which is meant to be like a disaronno and apricot flavoured Baileys. Yum

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 25/04/2020 20:26

Blue Curacao. In a tall glass with ice and lemonade Grin
The only downside is, if you drink lots, it turns your poo green... Grin

Another vote for Frangelico. It's like a hazelnut amaretto.

MrPipsGran · 25/04/2020 22:13

Chambord or home- made sloe gin, lots of ice and a dash of lemonade. Bliss.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 25/04/2020 22:16

Oooh I like Midori too.

Sonichu · 25/04/2020 22:35

I used to move Cointreau but after waking up with my head in the toilet after a few too many one night I've went off it a wee bit!

MaliceOrgan · 25/04/2020 22:37

Amaretto mixed into Bailey's.

Bluebellbike · 25/04/2020 22:39

Tia Maria

JoeBidensDisintegratingBrain · 26/04/2020 19:05

There is an award-winning chocolate liqueur that I'm contemplating trying next weekend. It's called 'Mozart'. Apparently it's similar to Bailey's Luxe, which I also haven't had.

Amarula, baileys, are we counting Malibu?I like it neat. I also make lovely raspberry gin and plum brandy. My favourite is my homemade irish cream its amazing

Deathraystare · 26/04/2020 19:35

Benedictine, Drambuie, Glayva, Amaretto, Baileys, Cointreu, Tia maria, Kahlua, Bols Cherry Brandy (*used to be my birthday treat) and the banana liquer (but not neat).

Haven't had any for years :(

MilkNoSugars · 26/04/2020 19:36

I hate sweet drinks so not a big fan of liqueurs.

Do like a brandy or Armagnac though!

midsomermurderess · 27/04/2020 20:39

Doesn't favourite mean the one you like the most?

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 27/04/2020 20:44

Pernod, and Amarula. But I have a special affection for cherry brandy, which was useful in a hip flask when I was doing my French oral exam for my A Levels Grin I had to wait on a spiral staircase in a tower to be called in, and was not overlooked. So I necked the cherry brandy for Dutch courage.

TSSDNCOP · 27/04/2020 21:47

Cointreau

rvby · 27/04/2020 22:12

Crème de violette and maraschino. The two ingredients that, shaken with lemon juice and gin, make my favourite cocktail.

MulticolourMophead · 29/04/2020 02:23

I've just remembered that years ago (30+ Grin) I was drinking a cocktail called a Blue Lagoon that involved Blue Curacao, Vodka and Tequila, in a slightly different recipe to today. Loved it, but never really had it since that period in time.

squeekums · 29/04/2020 02:32

I cant say i have a favourite, they all have merits in the cocktails i like.

The strawberry baileys is just like drinking strawberry milk Grin
Aldi had a awesome caramel liqueur
there a french chocolate one i could swim in

squeekums · 29/04/2020 02:37

The only downside is, if you drink lots, it turns your poo green... grin

When i was 14 i had the blue vodka cruisers for first time, i almost had a heart attack next day for this very reason lmao

JaneJeffer · 29/04/2020 02:37

Does ouzo count as liqueur?

DramaAlpaca · 29/04/2020 02:55

None of them, all too sweet for me.

JaneJeffer only if you are on holiday in Greece, when it's nectar of the gods. If you bring a bottle home it tastes rank, ditto Turkish brandy, from bitter experience Confused

Treeofheaven · 29/04/2020 03:28

Drambuie is my favourite.

Peridot1 · 29/04/2020 04:18

Amaretto probably my favourite- with lots of ice.

Love Baileys too.

And Limoncello. Although went off that for a time after a night drinking far too much of it. Felt dreadful next day and we had packers in to pack up the house as we were moving country.

PeachesPlumsPears · 29/04/2020 05:13

Baileys and Cointreau (aka Fluffy Dog):-

Recipe
1 ounce cointreau
1 ounce Baileys Irish cream
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in the ingredients. Shake until chilled, and strain the mixture into a cocktail glass.
